It's not for the sake of convenience. That was many people's definition of 'humanity' and/or rights-to-life before abortion ever became a debate.

I'd buy the non-sentient argument if fetuses didn't have things like hearts, brains, fingers...
Fertilized embryos don't have hearts, brains or fingers so I suppose terminating them is ok huh?

Isn't the title of this thread the abortion argument is over? Then why are we still arguing.

Only if it is OK with the woman carrying the embryo or if the fertilized embryo hasn't been implanted, it depends on what the people who have an interest in that embryo want to do. It also depends on whether or not you are a Republican and or a fundy and want to use the embryo for political purposes. Defense of embryos is a great way to politically energize people who, except for embryos, have neither empathy nor compassion for humanity.

Thats funny, it's the first time I have heard "implantation" as being some sort of magic moment. I thought they always used "conception".

Don't we share 97% of the same DNA as chimps? Seems like I read that somewhere.
