They are already using the money as incentive to murder Jewish civilians. If bribing them worked, they would increase rhetoric against terrorism, rather than using the money to foment it. Instead, they are merely showing that terrorism works - just like "land for peace" - which encourages them to do more of it instead of actually seeking peace, or even working toward it.

Besides ... the money is "feeding kids" by paying families for a member committing terroristic acts against Jewish civilians. That is unacceptable, as is the Hamas use of kids as human shields.

That assumes that fear of terrorism was the actual motivation for Ian's statement.

Do you really think with such an approach the political influence of the US in the Near East will increase at a time when the Russians and the Chinese are little by little gaining influence there. If you look at my post 4, you will see that the US are not the biggest contributor for foreign aid to the Palestinians... the EU and the European countries are giving more.... So if the trend in the USA is actually isolationism and not playing the policeman of the world it means that your country has to accept a loss of influence, which is going to bring other consequences, either economical or political.

Ian both sides are wrong in the way they indoctrinate children. I don't support that and I don't support human shields. Never forget the Israelis lined up young girls to write messages on bombs before they were loaded and shot towards Lebanon. And I am not supporting Palestinians who dress up 9 month babies in bomb belts.

Read the story behind that photo... the young girls had just spent days in the basement of a school, hoping that they didn't get hit by Lebanese rockets. This was the first time they'd seen sunlight. And if you locate the photo, find a translation of what the girl wrote. It wasn't anything hostile against Arabs. Or Lebanese people. It was addressed by name to Hassan Nasrallah (the head of Hezbollah), who is a valid "target" as far as the girls' messages are concerned.

Okay. What is your point, sir? I still do not want my tax dollars to be spent on blood money.

Why dafuq were we EVER doing it? These shitheads have paid tribute to "Palestinians" who killed innocent civilians, including a few Americans who were visiting at the time.

    This is insanity.

U.S. Foreign Aid to the Palestinians (FY2016)

If you want to believe that Palestinians are using USAiD funds to pay terrorist families, then you're gonna believe it.

These are the same people that believe US funding of PP goes directly to abortions.
Money is fungible. If the cash we send is comingled, the payments made from that account are all partially tracable to US foreign aid.

I dunno why Israel hasn't done more to stop this. If Bush had proposed paying blood money to the families of the 9/11 terrorists, Americans would have rioted in the streets.

If Israel is permitting this as some form of appeasement, that is clearly 100% wrong. Morally wrong and strategically wrong.
    Thanks from Djinn and Bronwyn

Tell me something Djinn. What do you think the lasting impression was on those girls? What experience DID they take away from That? Sames goes for the little baby in the bomb belt. If he's even alive today. To what end do adults indoctrinate children? What is the long term goal?

You nailed the issue. In fact as Trump removes support to the UN, countries who voted against the President's move to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and now Palestine we see that Trump is removing the US best interest. China and Russia are indeed gloating and moving in with support for every withdrawal Trump makes including now becoming the leader in the Paris Agreement and gaining all the contracts we used to get. We are so screwed as most don't even realize how much we are being isolated from a much larger world. We can't even gain traction in trade now that he has ended the Asian Pacific trade and China has grabbed it up. We will pay through the nose even in trade now. The dumbass doesn't even know how all these things he is doing comes together for China.
