But that's our point. The right wing was very successful in convincing people that that was what feminism is all about. And it never was. It has always been simply about equality.

Well technically it was right wing men..But yes I know that's what happened. Rush made most of his fortune back in the 90s with his "feminazi" comments. Its what kept him going for so long.

Unfortunately, being in my middle 50's suddenly seems to mean that when I read something as illogical as Baj's post, I get nauseated.

Why are they believing a lie. Why isn't their mother setting them straight? I guess I need to write a book to address the idiocies of young women who take our strides for granted, and set them straight.

My daughter is 33. I don't think she's so old that she fits in my generational thinking, no. She's just educated.

Maybe Baj's daughter and friends should watch Iron-Jawed Angels, or get a little education.

I'm sorry. I am just literally gob-smacked that they think there is no such thing as equality.

I should probably shut up now.

They are going to have to recognize that equality has not yet been attained by ever-so-many races, genders and orientations before they start declaring the battle won and making sure things progress no further.

Frankly and truly, such people deserve the government they get. They deserve to lose their rights, because they take them for granted. The only bad part is, the rest of us will lose those gains as well and then I will have a VERY difficult time not giving them a cheerful what-for followed by an even happier fuck YOU very much.

Such thinking is actually why I created this thread, because I am completely fed up with the lies, and not only the people who keep them going but the people who believe them.

Where did you get any of that from my posts? I never said they don't believe in equality, that's what they believe in. They just don't like labels. Their world is far different than ours. Women are the majority in college these days and are the majority in medical and veterinary school. They are ambitious and are making it happen for them. They see boys their own age as "slackers" that cant hold down a job and play video games all day. They are reaping the rewards of previous generations before them. They just don't feel they need to do the same things as our generations did, now they have to live up to it and prove what women said back in the 60s and 70s. It is different for them and will be for the generation after them.

They don't think feminism is necessary, they think we should stop fighting for equality because that would put us on top.

    Therefore.
