    Why women wear makeup

I think every woman in the world wears makeup in some form, some more than others and granted it makes them attractive.

But why do they feel the need to wear makeup when they are just as beautiful without it?

Most women will deny the real reasons, they will say its for health reason or makes them feel better but lets face it.

They do it to attract mates. It is a way for them to compete with other women for the attention of males. With all the woman lib movements you would think makeup would gave gone away. I doubt there is any woman that likes spending hours putting goop on their face yet they do. It overrides their reliance on self-worth, their career, their ability to raise children.......and on and on.

So why do women wear makeup?

"I live in the American Gardens building on West 81st street. My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion. There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me. Only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our life styles are probably comparable, I simply am not there."

Why not also ask about Trump's do (yours too) and orange skin? .......or what you do to attract, whomever?

Maybe you would prefer women do this instead, so you don't get tempted to "mate" without a woman's permission because she's "trying" so hard to "attract" just anyone.

It is customary. Wearing a certain amount of make up is a social cue.

Of course it is meant to make the person more attractive, but it's not only about that.

It's a mask. Many women hide behind it.

Human adornment including make-up for both men and women have been part of cultures for millennia.

To believe that make-up is for "attracting" mates shows a simplistic understanding of human nature and history.

I am befuddled by women in burquas wearing eye make up. Heavy eyeliner seems especially common.

I am not talking about ceremonial makeup or painting your face to go to a football game, I am talking about women who won't leave the house without some sort of makeup.

Depends if you are a man or a woman.
