In fact the wording in the OP is very insightful when one is thinking about the narcissist's viewpoint. The mere act of discussing hormone treatment for minors is causing the OP to feel her very existence is being attacked, and that of all TGs. The sense of self is so very fragile, that nothing but constant validation keeps their heads above water even (emotionally).

Activists now say that one is 'transphobic' if they wouldn't want to date a trans. Wouldn't see him or her exactly the same as a cis person. That is insane. They are not the same, self-identification aside. I can engage in the ritual of enabling the way anyone wants to identify to an extent, but I will not be told that x is y.
There is a difference between needing "constant validation", and dealing with having ones experience disparaged, and trivialized by others who think they know.

Again to go back to Jenner. I accept her with EASE now, because she has accepted HERSELF. She, from what I can tell in these latest interviews and other recorded events, has found peace with the fact that she looks like a man in a dress and that part, that outward appearance, the way her voice sounds, etc, is about as good as it's going to get, and she's gone inward to find her self-identification, rather than require others to do it for her. (Which cannot actually be done, the conundrum for narcissists of all types).

I can't even bear to read these threads anymore - I've never seen more judgmental crap from people in my life. Again, from people who have no idea what's it like to be Transgendered and all the obstacles they face.

and that is still their own personal drama. It has nothing to do with anyone else. And... THAT is their problem. Unless the world at large participates in their therapy the allusion of anything being real is flawed.

I read something interesting, that part of the problem is misogyny. Most TGs are MtF and grew up with the same male entitlement as all the other men.

How did the thread about hormones for minors do that? That is what prompted this thread. Some people expressed concern FOR the minors. That's all. But somehow that discussion 'shouldn't even be here'.

i would call constant validation the core reason of the pronoun problem they have.

Needing others to understand, empathize or anything else to their experience or what they know.... is pathological need for constant validation.
