I was just talking about the public displays of symbols of hate. Just that part of it seems odd to me. I saw a picture where someone mowed the word "asshole" with an arrow pointing at their neighbor's house into their lawn and I get that sort of thing, your neighbor is a dick and you want the world to see you calling them a dick in a big way. But creating a display demeaning a whole race or ethnicity so that everyone who drives by sees it or in the case of the Nazis, photographing it and posting it online, what's the point of that? It's not as if they're going to cease to exist because they saw this.

"I want everyone one of these people to know I hate them". Why would anyone think people you hate care enough about them to care? Like their all sitting home crying because you don't like them. It might be hurtful to children, but most adults will just hate you back.

    Getting kinda scary, isn't it?

Because we don't, on a regular basis, see the hammer and sickle flag flying over American homes or business or instituted as part of a state flag.
That would be my guess. *shrug*

Yup, facts don't matter. Whatever you want to believe is true. Fox news, Republicans and Trump (doubling down in it) have been pushing that nonsense for a long time

As an addendum to this, back in the late 1990's, the Denver School District, one of the larger school districts in America, had a Superintendent who got into a heated argument with the editors of the now-defunct Rocky Mountain News, a great Denver-based newspaper. The Superintendent (whose name I am forgetting) argued that students didn't actually need to KNOW anything anymore. Why? Well, they could just look stuff up on the Internet! So, if they needed to know, say, when the Civil War happened, they could just go to the Internet, and Hey Presto! They would find out that it took place in 1861-1865. Why make them memorize such dates?

This, friends, is how you end up with students who mix up the Civil War of the 1860's with the Civil Rights Struggle of the 1960's, and so have no chronological sense of history. This is how you end up with students who think we were fighting China and Russia in World War II. Because we have educrats who just don't think they NEED to know that kind of stuff!
