    Anthropologists can determine it.

But there is no such thing as a pure race anymore. Tasmanians were certainly the closest thing to a pure race in the modern world, as they had been isolated from the rest of humanity for a good ten thousand years, after Tasmania was separated from Australia at the end of the last Ice Age by rising sea levels; but the British exterminated the Tasmanians in what must be ranked as history's most effective and thorough genocide.

I remember the first day I rode the bus to school in Mexicali. I was dropped off at the border which I crossed to wait by the Hotel del Norte, a bit apprehensive mind you, being all of ten years old. So the bus pulled up as I was promised it would, and I stepped on board. I remember turning to face my new classmates for the first time, and they were agog, so I made my way down the bus to find a seat when I noticed what looked like three brothers sitting in the back, and they were even more blonde-haired and blue-eyed than I was. Naturally, I felt some relief, and as I approached them, what looked like the oldest hissed in passable English, "Get the fuck away from us you dirty gringo!"

I found another place to sit.

Wow. The Mexicali Blues, I guess. [Great song by the Grateful Dead, by the way!]

    No it's not. It's evolution.
Racial division, and treating people differently based on their race, that is a social construct. And a flawed on for that.

Not exactly. I mean, I was only ten, wouldn't have known what to do with a girl four years older than I, had never yet killed a man, and may have ridden through Bakersfield in the backseat of a car once or twice, so I had little in common with that song which is, as you attest, a great song that merits a listen:

Not planning to watch. It's STUPID to examine this woman's feelings and those of her white family, whilst ignoring the feelings of actual black Americans impacted by her ridiculous blackface routine.

Talk about white privilege! Jesus Fucking Christ.

Indigenous tribes in Northern Siberia, like the Khanty, Mansi, Nentsy, Evenki, Sakha, Chukchi, Koryaks, etc, are also as "pure" as it gets

They live an isolated nomadic existence up in the frozen tundras, living in yurts made of furs

driving their herds of reindeer across the unforgiving wastelands

just as their ancestors have done for thousands and thousands of years.

They still maintain their ancient spiritualism too, their shamans rule each nomadic group

More than just pastors, they are the leaders among these peoples. The word of the shaman in the law in each of the tribes...

They even have their own "Santas", like many minorities in Russia.

Yamal Iri, the "White Elder" of the Nentsy; then you have Ded Moroz, the "Santa" of the white Slav Russians, and also, of course, kinda the Supreme New Year deity in Russia; then Chyskhaan, the "Bull Man" of the Sakha; next one, the lady, is Tugeni Eneken, "Mother Winter", of the Evenki; after her is the official Santa Claus of Finland, I forget his name, he was visiting Russia at the time and met all these bunch of his colleagues there lol; and then Pokkaine, the youngish "Santa" of the ethnic Karelian people. There are many other too, the Tatars have own "Santa", the Chuvash have own; Buryats and other Buddhist nations have own; etc. Whole New Year Pantheon, really lmao

Few Slavs or any other outsider ever venture up where these people live. Even the government mostly leaves them alone, except to drop them supplies off helicopters if they ever ask for it

Sometimes doctors are brought in on the choppers to check on them, especially the kids; and also Census and election officials. That's about it.

Otherwise, the only white folks they may encounter, are oil and gas workers heading out to the rigs even further North, in the Arctic

A few of them, a tiny minority, DID get urbanised, and some of those DID interbreed with ethnic Russians over the centuries, but these are very, very rare cases.

One of those, though, half-Russian half-Khanty is Sergey Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow!

Thanks from BitterPill, Friday13 and Ian Jeffrey
