    Gun Permit owners

    NRA-ILA :: The National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Bill

    Hopefully this will pass.. I believe its discrimination when states do not reciprocate. We do not become criminals when we leave our home state. A license is a license, a permit is a permit.
    If a state decides it wants a fee of $5.00 for a reciprocation approval so be it.

    Point in fact: I've never objected to having to buy a hunting license in another state. None of which required more than me producing my home state license to qualify.

    While I haven't read the fine print in the proposed bill, I agree with the general concept.

    The fine print allows The Obama to raise his own private civilian army.

    Lets not leave out the Clinton/Reagan/Bush drug cartel.

    I totally agree with this proposed law. I am going to retire soon and plan on traveling across the states with my RV. Planned on carrying a 45 for protection. I would need a Philadelphia lawyer to tell me where I can carry. The right to keep and bear arms should not be infringed on by state law.

    This is an interesting question. As you point out, there is reciprocity on some types of licenses, but not on others. Makes me wonder what is the determining factor. You mention hunting licenses, but there are many more that do not have reciprocity. Such as professional or business licenses.

    I've had a concealed carry here in Missouri for years. It is recognized in all but maybe 1/2 dozen states or so. I tend to agree with you on this one, if my driver's license fro Missouri is recognized by Illinois, why not my CCW?

    If I have a CCW and I cross state lines, you think I am going to ask permission?

    Read the second.

    No, and I probably won't ask permission, but if they made a discovery it may not be pleasant. Best to not wear the weapon and just stick it under your seat until you find out the law of the state your in. I haven't had a concealed permit in over 20 years, but I don't wear a gun concealed either. Hide somewhere unloaded while driving. Pretty sure thats legal in every state.
