Funny how we can fly foreign countries flags here in the US and no city officials tell them no as to not offend them. We have a tshirt boutique here that has a Brazilian flag over the sidewalk dragging on the ground and tattered, even bikes jump off the curb here to get around it, but no one says boo. Put an American flag up or make kids stand out of respect for the Pledge and "oooh someone might be offended." Crazy double standard.

Didn't you get the memo? You should be ashamed of the American flag and the "evil" it represents. That's the popular thing to do these days. No doubt, one day flying a U.S. flag will be considered racist just as flying the Confederate battle flag or swastika is considered to be.

there's nothing whatever in this story to indicate that the nationality of the flag has anything to do with the city's actions.
