That's why you want to make sure it's not investigated... what are you worried they will find?

Robbers tend to use their gun when something goes wrong with the robbery. Given that the police report showed signs of a struggle, and given the recent spate of robberies in that particular neighborhood, the official story appears solid.
And cops respond within 5 seconds of a gunshot? Also, random Crack head willing to fire a gun / rob someone cares about the risk of arrest?

(What is secret is what those gunshot detectors were built for, but that's for another thread)

Umm... again, this idea that you could have a gun, pull the trigger and be surprised when the gun makes a noise to a degree that you are compelled to run away??? Seriously?

I'm interested in law enforcement solving this case. I want to know how they wrote it off as a robbery. Don't you? I'd like to know what's on his computer.

And who is the witness or where is the video camera footage to confirm what you said happened? I understand the theory of a botched robbery. To your theory why was he shot in the back? Work out the scenario and bullet paths. Why no witnesses ?

Yeah, you tell some guy to give up his money or he's dead. The guy, decides to take a swing at you. You shoot him out of some sort of reflex not expecting resistance in the first place. Yeah, I can see sudden panic and running. Not all of us expect someone to put up a fight with a gun pointed at them. There are two reactions in that situation, fight the attacker or give up and give in. I guess a little alcohol and his basic natural instinct made him the fight type, unfortunately he lost.

You've not met many criminals in your life, have you? (Don't worry, it's probably more good than bad if that's the case)

I've not seen anything about that, but walk me through this, I punch at you with a gun, how do the bullets get into my back?
