He may have had time to plan it...from the article.

The suspected gunman behind the Las Vegas massacre made several large gambling transactions in recent weeks, according to multiple senior law enforcement officials and a casino executive.

His father was arrested in Las Vegas so that might have something to do with it as well.
No evidence YET. If he was a Dexter kinda dude he was very smart about it.

I don't know, but it's an interesting question given the profile, look Clovid, which was prescribed like chiclets for women who suffered from infertility showed it's uglier side in colon, ovarian and cervical cancer, it's a given if you are on Clovid, at some point in your life, you will experience a cancer scare, how do I know?

I went thru it myself, and it was clear this could bring on or accelerate the formation of these specific cancers.

Anything is possible, and remember controlled experiments to determine the side effects of drugs can never be 100% complete; it's impossible, empirical, sadly, is the best petri dish.

Forgive me but when someone just snaps they don't snap for a few days. They go off like a firecracker. Snapping over several days isn't snapping.

You're an engineer, I am an engineer, what was the cause? you don't just "round the bend", what are the root causes of that? because there you have a lessons learned for prevention.

Or improvement, dependent on the defect.

    Why is the question?

When it comes to these kinds of things I really don't like speculation. I have not read any news reports about any medications he may of been taking either.

We will really never know what had gone through his mind...since he ended his life. I would pretty much bet the farm tho...it wasn't Viagra. LOL

This is extreme behavior. To my knowledge, no mass murder has ever been definitively attributed to an organic illness, drug reaction, etc.

But, if there is a problem, like maybe the beginning of dementia (which is often marked by anger), AND a drug causes a psychotic episode, well....maybe.

This shooter seems to have planned far in advance and obtained some military-grade equipment to turn his rifles into machine guns.

So, not impossible, but not likely.

I do agree, too many drugs that "enhance lifestyle" but have several, severe reactions remain on the market.

Lyrica and Chandrix both cause suidical thoughts, etc.
