Kindly quote exactly what law it is that makes it illegal for the Director of the FBI from taking copies of his own notes home. I'm sure Christopher Wray would be interested in knowing what it is as he is probably breaking the law right now. These men take work home with them all the time. It's not exactly a 9 to 5 job.

Kindly quote what law makes it a requirement that every gov't official (elected or appointed/hired) has to turn over every copy of all gov't document they have in their possession as soon as they are fired or quit or even die. I'm sure there are a ton of x-gov't employees (elected, appointed/hired) that are currently violating that law.I don't see a whole lot of people pulling up with boxes of files to their former gov't offices to drop off copies of documents already in the gov't files anyway.

Maybe they're jealous he can write coherent sentences? Ever read anything Trump's written?

They were directly related to his role as FBI director. He was making personal visits to Trump to play canasta.

Good Lord, how do you not understand that?

James Comey will not be subject to criminal investigation, prosecution or jail time.

Robert Mueller will not be subject to criminal investigation, prosecution or jail time.

If someone wants to suggest otherwise, they need to put their flag in the ground and say when it will happen, how and under whose authority.

    Get serious.

Mueller and McCabe are saying the same thing about Trump.............not the target of any criminal investigation.

This whole issue is irrelevant. Governmental employees are not subject to post-employment non-disclosure agreements.

The First Amendment ensures the government can't restrict their freedom of speech once they are a private citizen, no longer an employee.

"I had this meeting with the president, and this is what I thought about the general nature of the meeting" isn't classified information, and if someone tried to classify that, they are abusing the system.

"I had this meeting with the president, and we discussed my employment and general duties in the following manners" also isn't classifiable.

"I had this meeting and we discussed mission A, program B, person C, action D" is potentially classified, but that's not the information Comey disclosed.

Nope. They still can't leak classified info.

    Sorry, Comey is a criminal.

They've said no such thing. They've reportedly told Trump that he's not a target, but that he IS a subject.

That could mean he's in the clear, or that they're trying to bait him, or want to prosecute him but have determined they legally can't, so are now focused on prosecuting others + gathering information for Congress.

Regardless, "subject" to "target" is entirely at their discretion and may be changed at any time. Trump's lawyers have reportedly warned him of this fact.

Also, SDNY is handling its own case, separate from Mueller/Rosenstein.
