    Dear Theorists: Kate Spade

Where the actual fuck is this coming from?!

    W Magazine

Today, the world lost some of its sparkle when the iconic fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead in her Manhattan apartment. She was survived by her 13-year-old daughter Frances Beatrix Spade and her husband Andy Spade.

At 55 years old, the Kansas City, Missouri native took her own life in an apparent suicide, leaving behind a note and a reminder that we can truly never know the pain others are in — and that mental illness doesn't discriminate. Many of Spade's devotees and admirers took to Twitter to point both of these things out, as they waxed nostalgic for the fashion designer who launched her eponymous brand in 1993 before selling it in 2006.

Some celebrities, like Chelsea Clinton, grieved the loss of Spade by telling stories about how her fashion came into their life. "My grandmother gave me my first Kate Spade bag when I was in college," the former first kid tweeted. "I still have it. Holding Kate’s family, friends and loved ones in my heart."
How deep does a conspiracy theorist have to go before curiosity crosses over into madness?

"An apparent suicide, leaving behind a note" which did not point at the Clintons.

These people are either so gullible as to need a nanny, or utterly mad.

They offer no "facts." Just allusions/illusion. Nod-nod, wink-wink; nudge-nudge. Bob's your uncle, say no more.

It's like they are in a secret club that speaks an unknown language.

Truly. I've actually tried conversing once or twice with such people.

    It never goes well.

Not very far these days... After all, we have a birther president who openly proclaims that 3 million illegal immigrants voted and that his inauguration had the highest attendance of any in the history of inaugurations, but that the deep state, in cahoots with deep press is engaged in a witch hunt agitprop effort to discredit him.

I'm genuinely impressed by the way Chelsea Clinton responds to these people intelligently, and without lowering herself one iota. I would have probably dropped an F-bomb or two by now.

My neighbor is one. And not the crazed shirtless kind. The kind with a really good job, but happens to believe that the Boston Bombing was a false flag operation to practice martial law. I was at a neighborhood barbecue and sort of stuck my foot in my mouth repeatedly laughing every time he mentioned it because I refused to believe he was serious. I said some pretty funny/nasty things before I realized that he wasn't joking.

He doesn't come to the barbecues anymore, thankfully.
