    here.............

it is in the law Meth, what I believe is irrelevant.

Well I don't generally accept a quote out of sodahead as law........

But giving you the benefit of the doubt, you do see that this is an additional penalty for not following the law. It is a penalty for obstruction, contempt, whatever you want to call it. There are similar laws on the books now and I haven't heard you derail not one of them.

Whether you like this law or not is irrelevant. You must obey all laws or suffer a consequence. That is the way this system works. Even laws you fight to get repealed you have to follow until the process is over or suffer a consequence. You usually will lose those battles.

Man, I feel like I'm teaching 7th grade civics tonight.

My number was a bit off, it is 25K and five years, or more accurately $2,500 per month for a family. That is not for anything other than noncompliance.

Your link says 250k, so where are you getting this new figure now?

And its not noncompliance for not getting healthcare. That fine is 2.5% max, it is for not following the law. Laws without consequences are pretty meaningless aren't they?

I mean if you get a speeding ticket and don't pay the fine you are going to to get a bench warrant......I don't see you bellyaching about that Mike and its concept is the same.

Read this link.....IRS Needs $10 Billion to Be Nation's Health Enforcer

If either an individual or a business has failed to comply with this mandate for any month out of the year, they are required to pay a separate tax to the IRS. For individuals this is a maximum of $750 per person (up to $2,250 per household) and $750 per uncovered employee for businesses.

    Thats per month.

Because these penalties would each apply on a monthly basis, individuals and employers would have to pay 1/12th of the maximum penalties for each month they failed to comply with the mandates.[/quote]

Read the link Mike. The monthly fine would be 1/12th of the max fine. So if the max fine is $2250 as your link implies the onthly fine would be 1/12th of that.

    Come on Mike.....really.

Good grief....The max fine is 2,250x12=27,000, now you must pay 1/12 of that for every month you do not have the insurance which is $2,250 per month.

Read the link Mike.....you are making shit up now. Nowhere does it say that. It CLEARLY states what the max fine is $2250 and then states for each month its 1/12th of that.

Why would you add your own shit into the equation?........thats awful Beckish of you. Its YOUR link Mike, just read it.

no, that is 1/12 of the max fine, and you will pay that amount for every 1 of the 12 months in the year that you do not have adequate insurance. The max fine is 27,000 dollars.

Why would you think they will fine you $2,500 and only make you pay 1/12 of that? What is it that makes you think that?

What do you not get, for any month of the year your max fine is $2,500 or 1/12 of the max fine for a 12 month period, you know, a year??!!@@

You better learn how to read before you teach it, it clearly states that for each month, your maximum fine is $2,500. I mean dude is actually uses words and stuff and says, for each month of noncompliance you can be fined 1/12 of the max fine equaling $2,500 per month.

Again...This time read the damn thing..
