Not all of the reports are consistent, but apparently enough of them share details of the insides of the craft and the "medical" experiments to give one pause. Certainly the mutilations are not just imagined "demons".[/quote]

The various accounts I've read seem widely divergent in their details, but it's not like I've looked at this in any detail. Cattle mutilations I don't really know anything about - they weren't really covered in any of the paranormal books I used to read. Doesn't really strike me as anything that needs a unified explanation, though. I;m sure there are plenty of different reasons why different cattle wind up mutliated.

Sirius the Dog-star, not galaxy. The Dogon people had a great deal of astronomical information that we have only lately discovered and they believe that they were brought here to Earth by people from the stars.

There are open globular clusters in that region, one i believe is even named Sirius.

After getting away with it for more than 50 years I suspect that there is no real risk to them returing the bodies as a convenient way of disposing of them.

More convenient than dropping them out of a spaceship from 15 miles up?

Again - Sirius is a binary star. It is not a galaxy. It is not a globular cluster. It is not a nebula, a constellation, or anything else.

It is (technically "they are") unlikely to have planets, and it is impossible for a binary star to host life, since the planets would have to be extremely close to one of the stars, or really, really far from both of them.

Of course, the ancients would not have known that Sirius was a double star.

I thought the cattle mutilations were now thought to be blow flies feeding on the juicy bits. I remember one point of an article where the author writes that "in many cases, witnesses say the soft parts of the cow were removed with laser-like efficiency" to which he asked "how would anybody know what something cut by a laser looked like?"
