    Trade with Cuba is Now

I was surprised by this. I thought things were still in the negotiation and planning stages but I guess it's a go.

    And good news too.

Netflix launches in Cuba as diplomatic relations thaw

Internet movie and television streaming service Netflix has launched in Cuba, as diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba continue to thaw.

Netflix said its content, such as series House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, will be available to anyone with international payment cards.

US credit card firms MasterCard and American Express have both said they will launch operations in Cuba soon.

Last month, Netflix said its international expansion was proceeding ahead of schedule.

What's the point? Cuba currently has one of the lowest rates of internet connectivity in the world. Most people in Cuba can't access Google, much less Netflix.

Why Netflix is entering Cuba even though the internet barely works there ? Quartz
The significance of the story from my perspective had nothing to do with the fact that it was Netflix that appears to be first, but the fact that trade was occurring. As I said, I thought it was just in the negotiations stage.
