Hillary Clinton's Questionable Process for Sorting Work Emails

a story that just will not die.

maybe clinton thinks she should be getting a pass on this from the media like the WH has been getting from the media so often on several issues.

interesting read from the Atlantic. the Time article ought to be interesting too.

    -------------------

New details about how she identified public records in her possession reveal her press conference at the U.N. to be misleading.

"Here is a made up email to illustrate the point:
    To: Bill Clinton
    From: Hillary Clinton
    Subject: Ugh
Assume you saw the latest. This could blow up in our faces if we don't get out in front of it ... and frankly, the WH isn't helping matters much. I'm tempted to reverse course but wonder if it would affect your latest ask. What does SB think?
A keyword search would not flag messages where (for example) official business is rendered in pronouns, "White House" is rendered as an abbreviation, and "Sidney Blumenthal" is rendered in shorthand. Or consider an email that concerns Benghazi, but that was typed on a smart phone in a moment of distraction, causing an unintententional misspelling: "Benhgazi." A key-word search would miss that email. The process described would label it a "private, personal record."

As for creating a list of names, that would doubtless flag a lot of relevant work emails, but no busy professional remembers the name of every person who emails them for work over a multi-year period encompassing tens of thousands of messages."

    Hillary at the PC:

"Hmmmm, what do I wish to delete?

Oh, this one, where the Saudi Prince donated $5,000,000.00 to my "foundation!," that one needs to go....

And this one, between Fat Um and myself, in which I assured him, that we would feed his people, if he would pretend to stop making more WMD's....that's gotta go....

And ALL of these Benghazi emails, that I haven't erased, already...HEY BILL, honey....we need to get a new server. Can someone tear this one down, and throw it in a lake somewhere?"

the clinton camp denies what Time claims was the process used to keep or delete emails.

Clinton camp: read every email - 32,000 were private and deleted them

I remember when Nixon got in trouble for erasing some of his own tapes.......

But, review the '90's: This is the norm for the Clintons: Whether they have something to hide, or they don't...they ARE going to hide it, regardless.

Obviously, Republicans will note these consistent inconstintcies, and point out them out.

Democrats will simply "trust" the Clintons at face value, regardless of facts.....

The QUESTION is how the independents/moderates feel about her...character.....

Bottom line here is that Congress and the public can only see the emails that she wants them to see. So oversight is out the window.

Between Lois Lerner and now Hillary Clinton, how many times are we going to get this "the dog ate my homework" excuse for emails from this administration?

It won't really matter much to the willing dumbasses on the left. It only matters when Republicans violate Federal laws and lack transparency.

This whole email thing reminds me of Obama's birth certificate. I kind of wonder if this wasn't done with forethought to give Republicans something to investigate that she's sure won't go anywhere.

As soon as the foundation began making news this pops up. My money's on any real scandal being there.

As long as there are enough supporters who actually believe, or pretend to believe, this flaky lawyer is the most intellectually brilliant politician since Bill Clinton and Barak Obama.

There is only one hope for seeing Hillary Clinton removed from consideration, and that is Elizabeth Warren. Every progressive and the MSM will immediately tout her as the most astute and brilliant political mind since those other two. It's all they have in the playbook besides stating the GOP and conservatives are lunatics.
