GOP Chief Reince Priebus Calls Donald Trump to Tell Him to 'Tone It Down'

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus called presidential candidate Donald Trump and asked him to pull back his rhetoric on immigration, a source familiar with the conversation told NBC News on Wednesday.

The source, who asked not to be identified, said Priebus made the request to "tone it down" during an almost hour-long conversation covering a wide range of issues when he returned an earlier call from Trump.

wouldn't you have liked to be a fly on the wall listening to this conversation? It would appear that this time the GOP is not going to just take Trump's antics sitting down. This is a step in the right direction.

Now, don't get me wrong. What I want most is a viable , credible, GOP rival to go up against who ever the Democrat nominee is. I don't support coronations anymore than I do charlatans, like Trump, using the candidacy for our POTUS as a publicity stunt.

and I'm betting the GOP had done enough opposition research to make him regret if he does. They could sink him on his bs investigation into Obama's birth certificate alone.

    Trump: Arrogant, Egotistical Asshole

U.S. Republican Trump says 'I'll win the Latino vote'

"I'll win the Latino vote. I will win it," Trump said in an excerpt of an interview with NBC News released on Wednesday. He said he would be better able to create jobs as president than fellow Republican Jeb Bush or Democrat Hillary Clinton.

"I will create jobs, and the Latinos will have jobs that they don't have right now, and I will win that vote," Trump said.

A steady stream of Trump's business partners have broken ties with him since his June 16 announcement that he would seek the Republican nomination for the November 2016 election.

He will... that's his way of being the GOP "Bernie Sanders", 'cept instead of sticking it to the man, he does the bizarroland opposite and helps the man stick it to you...

    And you like it.

    Rinse and repeat...

(And yes, I know you are not living in this country, you already played that "I comment like I have a stake in this, but when it gets down to the nitty-gritty, "hey, I'm Australian!" card.)

    Correct?

    Thx

Good. Any candidate for this Office should be judged by their past records and associations. I think America learned this the last time around.

Why is that? I'm still tethered to the IRS, so what's it supposed to allude to? As for Trump...instead of a personal inference about me...he's plain enough. If he is actually a candidate...don't vote for him. What's the problem?

1] Donald Trump is still not a serious candidate. He is even surprised by his quick success.

2] Donald Trump is not going to be allowed to be the nominee. To the GOP, Donald is OK as a side voice taking jabs at Clinton and even GOP candidates.

3] Donald — and his supporters — may have not realized... he is not the GOP. He does not own or run the GOP. Donald has forgotten he is seeking THEIR [GOP] nomination. The GOP is not going to let Donald Trump damage their brand or their chances at winning the Presidency.

I don't know if the phone call actually happened, but the GOP is not going to allow much more of his bullshit...and Donald Trump may be the first American candidate fired from a campaign.

Message to Donald Trump received..."If don't like our party or process, go fuck yourself and run as an Independent."
