Hillary announces she is in favor of Australia type gun confiscation.

    What a nutjob.

Clinton suggests she'd consider mandatory gun buy-backs, sparking fears of ‘confiscation’

Hillary Clinton said Friday that mandatory gun buy-back programs like ones in Australia are “worth looking into,” sparking criticism that the Democratic presidential front-runner would, if elected, impose gun-confiscation efforts.

Clinton made the comments during a campaign stop in Keene, N.H., when an attendee asked about Australia’s 1996 and 2003 buy-back programs that collected roughly 700,000 banned semi-automatic rifles and other firearms.

“I think it would be worth considering doing it on the national level, if that could be arranged,” Clinton responded.

“This validates what the NRA has said all along,” said Chris Cox, executive director of the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action. “The real goal of gun control supporters is gun confiscation.”

Cox said Clinton’s comments echo recent ones by President Obama, making “very clear” that the underlying goal of gun-control advocates is confiscation.

Silly Goofball - She did NOT use the word "mandatory". Fox pulled that out of their ass.

It's unclear from Clinton's statement if she realized Australia's buyback was mandatory; she also brought up voluntary buybacks in US cities. But Australia's plan worked. Suicides and homicides fell following the gun buyback. That does not mean that something even remotely similar would work in the US — they are, needless to say, different countries — but, as Clinton said, it is worth at least looking at Australia's experience.

But yes, voluntary buyback programs would be a great idea.

I love how yet again the libnut defense of Hillary is that she was too dumb to comment intelligently on the subject she was commenting on.

If she was talking specifically about Australia then she was talking about a mandatory program.

    Liberals on gun control.

    1. Praise Australia's mandatory gun buy back program.

    2. Claim the Second Amendment only applies to state militias.

    3. Wonder why anyone thinks they want to take guns away.

"I do not know enough detail to tell you how we would do it, or how would it work," she told a voter who asked about Australia, per a transcript from the Washington Free Beacon, "but certainly your example is worth looking at."]
from the second source. You know, the one that's not Fox News?

crimeresearch.org is a gun nut site. Wouldn't believe them if they told me the sun was hot.

Let me know when you find a quote of Hillary using the word "mandatory". ;-)

Hillary served it up on a silver platter. Announcing publicly you want to look at an Australia type gun confiscation is obvious, to anyone who isn't a hack Hillary lemming sycophant.

There is something not right about this story. Something missing or omitted.

Mandatory buy back would not be able unless the constitution is changed. Did someone say "could a mandatory buy back be feasible?"

Much like people were asking Trump if he could get rid of Birthright citizenship. No one in their right fucking mind believes...1] Trump will ever be elected President. and 2] He would ever be able to change the Constitution to end the 14th amendment right.

You should have no worries as you know HRC will not be elected President. Don't sweat it.
