We have one in Snellville. They really haven't caught on.

There are 3 in my area. 2 are food stores and the 3rd is a super center. Haven't found a need to stop in at any of them - that I couldn't fulfill at different store.
Where I'm from originally, south of Houston, there is a 24-SuperCenter-Shop-o-Plex about on every corner.

Hmmm. They're just in the finishing stages of two Neighborhood Markets right by me - one at the top of my subdivision (where my stepdaughter will be working) and one about a mile in the other direction.

Stores that are unprofitable. A tiny percentage of their total store count. And it sounds like they will be able to offer a large percent of the affected employees another store at which to work.

They have a good website so their e-commerce side may be dominating now.

One interesting point to ponder is that Walmart, like McDonalds, employees many entry level people but it has gotten so contentious that one wonders if the constant complaints may have forced this new model. Kind of cuts off the economic and future employee chances if we end up having no entry level or hard to employ models left. This closure isn't just the express format as it includes some larger stores, some Sam's clubs, and some market store.

I never found anything at a Walmart that I couldn't find for less somewhere else - its knowing where to shop.
