Exclamation What Donald Trump Has Said About Mexico and Vice Versa

Yes, Trump is so popular with Mexicans that former President Fox is asking him for an apology and present President Nieto says he would not pay for his stupid wall and compared him to two infamous dictators. Both presidents can clearly see that Trump is not trying to ameliorate circumstances with Mexico but create a great photo-op with them to make Hispanics and Latinos in this country feel that he is working with them. Don't hold your breath on that.

What Donald Trump Has Said About Mexico and Vice Versa - ABC News
    By Morgan Winsor

"@realDonaldTrump, I invited you to come and apologize to all Mexicans. Stop lying! Mexico is not yours to play with, show some respect."
    — Vicente Fox Quesada (@VicenteFoxQue) August 31, 2016
"Pena Nieto has also said his country would not pay for a wall. In an interview published in the Excelsior newspaper on March 7, he likened Trump's "strident" rhetoric to that of dictators like Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler."
"Peña Nieto continued by attacking the tone of Trump’s campaign. "And there have been episodes in human history, unfortunately, where these expressions of this strident rhetoric have only led to very ominous situations in the history of humanity," he told the newspaper. "That’s how Mussolini got in, that’s how Hitler got in. They took advantage of a situation, a problem perhaps, which humanity was going through at the time, after an economic crisis."

News is showing 2 podiums up. Are they going to come out and make us all look like fools and act like friends?

Well with Trump's penchant for saying the wrong things at the wrong time you never know.

Am starting to think maybe this whole thing was staged like an episode of "The Apprentice." Planned ahead of time made to look spontaneous and to make Trump look good.

so, apparently we're to be impressed simply because Trump doesn't suck.

Felt like I was watching a scripted show. Where were the protests?

where r Hillary Clinton's surrogates? Trump has his on 24/7 dominating the news cycle. One poll actually has Trump and Hillary tied on approval ratings.

Oh but he does suck. He deliberately avoided speaking about his infamous wall and who was to pay for it. That is significant and what many felt was the crux of his going to Mexico to discuss. No doubt he was afraid to do that while being in another country. Here, it is fair game. There not so much. He also seemed quite timid and reserved compared to his usual self. We can give him an E for effort, however.

This reminds me of an episode of The West Wing where a candidate had a reputation as being a blithering idiot. The opponent became very concerned because it was felt if he came across as just an idiot, but without the blithering, people would be so impressed they'd vote for him.

Last time I heard a plan that started with "Let's go to Mexico", it was the idea of some fraternity bros.
