RNC Declares Pence Debate Winner - Two Hours Before Start of Debate

The Republican National Committee (RNC) appeared to accidentally declare on its website Tuesday night that Mike Pence was the winner of the vice presidential debate, nearly two hours before it was slated to start.

“Americans from all across the country tuned in to watch the one and only Vice Presidential debate. During the debate we helped fact check and monitor the conversation in real time @GOP. The consensus was clear after the dust settled, Mike Pence was the clear winner of the debate,” said the blog post on gop.com, the party’s website.

The post, which went viral nearly two hours before the debate was scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., said that Pence’s top moments were on the “economy” and “highlighting Hillary’s scandals.”

... Would have killed them to put "Spoiler Alert" at the top of their post?

You do know that victory speeches are almost always written ahead of time I hope.

Not sure why it got released early but everyone does this. I am sure Trump and Hillary both already have people working on their victory or concession speeches.

    Avoid the rush.

    Declare victory now.

I'm sure the Dems already have their victory speech written, and the talking points prepared for their submission to the "news "outlets.

As if BOTH sides don't do it.

    As if...

It's not that it was written in advance, it's the incompetence in releasing it before the debate even started that's funny as all hell.

"... as if" you have the sense not to publish the material until AFTER the debate, so it doesn't actually look like it was written in advance.

Oh, I agree with THAT part, but we all know that both side are gonna claim victory and already have those victory speeches ready to go.

We all KNOW that both sides have them written in advance...

they might have cheat notes before the debate or even "talking points" they want to focus on. But, only a fool would write a "final product" before one word of the debate and allow it to be posted for the whole world to see.
