By what authority is Trump "making deals" with corporations like Carrier?

Whose money is Trump using to "make deals" with and under what authority, since his not President yet and even as President, how are such "deals" made?

Also, for all the criticism Trump spouts about companies that hire foreign workers or move operations to other nations, what about where his own products are made?

Why does no one (at least those that profit from doing so) talk about why corporations (or people like Trump) fire American workers and hire workers in other nations?

You all go ahead and unwind the deal. Just tell those 1000+ employees in Indiana that you want to take it back so their jobs go to Mexico.

Only 800 jobs have been saved. The rest go to Mexico.

The deal involves basically paying off United Technologies.

Trump is President-elect. He has absolutely no authority to negotiate on behalf of the United States.

Here is what I do NOT understand? It's Mike Pences state. It is INDIANA who gave the tax abatements. Why in the hell didn't he do it before? Maybe he WAITED until the election was over for a reason? Maybe he planned on giving them THAT deal all along? And waited till the election was over to give credit to TRUMP?

Theater people. We won't know which is real and which is 'not'.

PS Before TRUMP'S asskissers on this board TOUT his abilities, I was at a company where a 'deal' was put together by my city and a couple of congressmen and even some city council members 30 years ago. They got a deal. And we got an extra 6 months of work--before the company closed the doors anyway.

Trump is PE, that is his authority.

Nothing in the constitution says he can't start negotiating now.

Hell, he could fly to Germany tomorrow and start trade negotiations if he wanted to. The senate cannot confirm them until he is in office but he has the full ability to do so.

Trump 'theoretically' made a deal with IND tax funds. How is that legal? Just like he couldn't make a deal using FEDERAL TAXPAYER funds until he becomes pres. Now was he simply acting as Pence's consultant? That's different.

The "deal" is a commercial for the Trump Organization.

Why not answer the questions? By whose authority is any "deal" Trump makes (other than one's involving his own cash) whether he is President or not? What are the details of the deal and who pays for the deal? What other companies that get government contracts (and those that do not) get similar "deals", by what authority (Congress?) and at whose expense?

Does the CEO of UTC (the parent corp of Carrier) take a pay cut? How about investors? Who will take up the slack for the tax incentives and what will be the impact? Who does anyone was closing the plants in Indiana to save money on labor so investors and management could continue, as they have, to get wealthier and wealthier, while the average U.S. worker gets fired?

But they did it, whatever the reasons are it was a good thing.

Or are you saying it isn't.

It's a good question. Do you have an answer or not?
