Russia and Turkey attack ISIS together

For the first time ever, Russian and Turkish warplanes reportedly struck ISIS targets together, in a joint operation:

Russian and Turkish jets have carried out their first joint strikes on so-called Islamic State (IS) inside Syria, the Russian defence ministry says.

IS was targeted in the suburbs of the town of al-Bab, Aleppo province, where Turkey suffered heavy casualties last month battling the group on the ground.

A Russian spokesman, Lt-Gen Sergei Rudskoi, said the joint action had been "highly effective".
Russia and Turkey have become leading outside players in Syria's civil war.

Al-Bab, about 20km (12 miles) from the Turkish border, has been the focus of a five-month Turkish campaign aimed at pushing back both IS and Kurdish forces.

Good news, this, even if I have no love for Turkey... The more cooperation over there, the better, IMHO

Hopefully they will soon have our fighters along with them and making real progress instead of Obama sending up our planes and refusing to let them fire.

If everyone works together, ISIS could be neutralized in no time

That means compromises though, like leaving Assad alone. Also, remember that Iran is involved there too, and Trump and Mattis don't like Iran...

I don't give much of a shit who's planes are bombing those fuckers.
If Daesh fighters are killed by Turkish, Russian or American bombs it's all the same to me.
Why are you so anxious to see American blood and gold spent?

Good for them to cooperate. Anyone that attacks ISIS is helping spare our own troops and helping to save innocent peoples lives.

"The air operation, agreed on with the Syrian government, involves nine warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Force, including four Sukhoi Su-24M, four Sukhoi Su-25 aircraft and one Sukhoi Su-34 bomber, as well as four F-16 and four F-4 fighters of the Turkey’s Air Force. A total of 36 targets are planned to be hit,"

Btw, I see the BBC article got updated with more info, including that there was akso an earlier joint US-Turkish raid in that area too. So, don't worry, @Spookycolt, US planes are already involved there also
