It's time for President Trump to just tell the media that they can submit their questions in writing and he'll have speech writers and attorneys go over it before sending them a response. There is no upside to talking to them.

They stopped Puzder — when a central issue of the Trump campaign was labor — and DeVos was a very near thing. The GOP had to scramble to get her through. McConnell owes people some big favors. If Murkowski and Collins had a little more spine, she'd have been dead at the committee level. So I don't know why you dismiss that effort, which hardly applied to everyone. Mattis is still advocating Trump's policies on one of the most important issues, but he won broad bipartisan support. So did Elaine Chao. Alexander Acosta is probably going to get 10-20 Democrats behind him. Qualified, reasonable picks were/will be approved without brouhaha.

And Trump can cut off the media. That'd be just fine. Spicer's and his own press conferences are distracting from the high-profile investigative work, and dealing his reputation net damage. That's obvious. Trump is known to be disappointed with Spicer.

And the GOP can kiss their asses goodbye in 2018 and 2020.

If Trump can't handle the job, and clearly he can't, then he should quit.

Trump began his very public war on the press during his campaign, why would you expect the press to give him a break?

There's no upside for the media. He lies so much as it is, or he's repeating his brag about his EC numbers. You'd think that he had a blowout victory like Reagan did.

He seems to think he can be abusive and then get respect and adulation in return.

He has gotten praise from the press for showing up, and taking questions.

Beyond that, trump doesn't seem like the kind of guy who can keep his mouth shut.

    That is a lie:

The claim: It has taken longer for Donald Trump to have his "full cabinet" confirmed than any president in US history.

Reality Check Verdict: Democrats have slow-walked many of Mr Trump's presidential nominations. It has taken longer so far for him to get the majority of his choices confirmed, although part of that is due to the lateness of a few nominations and delays in submitting background-check paperwork. Mr Trump still has months to go, however, before he sets a record for how long it has taken to have all his cabinet positions filled.

Might want to do some fact-checking on your own whenever before you parrot one of Trump's statements since Trump is a pathological liar.

Bullshit. I've thrown this out there before and not one of you liberals can show any possible path to winning the Senate in 2018. Not a one. I challenge you to post the seats that you think the Democrats can pick up in 2018. You need three without losing a single Democrat/Independent seat. It isn't going to happen.
