    This is a serious question.
You won't get a serious answer. Right wingers have now proven themselves to be the worst hypocrites I've ever seen in my life. The fact that SD would even post this garbage is utterly shameful.

We can confine the future first families to the White House and Camp David for the four year terms.
Sounds like all or nothing thinking. No territory between confinement to the white house, and camp David for the first family, and maintaining a separate residence for the president's wife and minor child, while also providing security for trump's weekly visits to his southern whitehouse?

All this while slashing $248,347 from the budget that goes to meals on wheels.

Trump is like a third world dictator, living the high life while his people suffer.

I thought Ivanka moved to washington with her husband and children.

    Solution?

How about a better president? But first we might need to get rid of the EC that gave us trump.

It is, and it deserves a serious answer. It's my opinion MOST Trump supporters are not motivated by bigotry. They felt abandoned by the Democratic Party, which in fact, they were. Reacquiring their trust and support will be easy, given what Trump is doing to them, but liberals must beware of exhibiting that snot-nosed, holier-than-thou attitude that they so often do. NOBODY will vote for candidates they believe despise them, unless they're mentally ill.

You bet your ass. You get your immediate 1st family WHO LIVE TOGETHER, kids in college any rules that applied to any of the others--even the BOYS jetting around the world making deals for their DAD! But that's another set of laws for the deal makers.

Of course if Trump hadn't criticized Obama so hard, chances are not good that he would now be president.

His criticism of Obama helped fuel his popularity.

But having criticized Obama so much, it is incumbent upon not to be as expensive as he criticized Obama for being. And as we have seen, he's on track to be significantly more expensive than Obama, and he has fewer minor children to support.

Clearly not the "personal responsibility" president.

How much was Palm Beach spending every time trump visited Mar a Largo before he got elected?

Local officials, who are starting to grapple with the idea that they might foot the bill, say if the county has to pay for it, it will mean either tax hikes or cuts to services in the coming years.

"It means the local taxpayers will have to bear the added burden of being part of the security for the president of the United States," Paulette Burdick, the Democratic mayor of Palm Beach County, told CNN Friday. "It will either be cuts or increase in taxes."

I think people are making too much of that. The costs have always been enormous. Pretty soon they'll be flying nanobots in to kill people anyway. You cannot ask the Trumps to stop living their lives.

Then again, the impact Trump is having on his luxury resort town is another matter. Seems he should show a little more empathy for that.

AND he criticized Obama for doing what he is doing ten times more. He said he would NOT do it.
