Might want to take some of your own advice, Madeline. Not sure where you got bigotry from in anything I posted.

We want them to remain engaged, as voters and citizens, and they must feel there is a face-saving way to admit they were wrong and change tactics to get what they need from our government. That begins with YOU and me, accepting they were victims of propaganda and not actually malicious.

Not one Trump supporter on PH has tried to defend his budget. This is not what they wanted, and not what they expected to get.

Don't make people crawl for your acceptance.

Feel free to continue to bash all the recalcitrant Hillarybots, though. They are fair game.

Kind of rambling there. Don't expect me to join in and assign one single motive to a wide group of people. That's just intellectual laziness. Some Trump voters knew exactly what they were voting for, some saw the con attempt but voted for it anyway thinking it was better than the alternative, and some were completely duped. Plus there's probably all sorts of gradients with those labels.

It isn't my job to welcome anyone back to anything.

First of all conservatives may have complained about them, but I didn't. That's right, not once can you find anywhere that I complained about President Obama, or any member of his family going on a vacation. Therefore, I'm not a hypocrite. Now tell me something, Madeline, did you complain about Obama's vacations? If you did not how can you complain about Trump taking weekends off?

If the Trumps continue this behavior, by the time his term in office is up, we will have spent $! BILLION ANNUALLY for their travel and security.
I guess we need to change the law to lock the President and his/her family in the White House from election day until the term is over. I'm a bit curious why anyone would believe that Trump going to Florida is so much more expensive than Obama going to Hawaii. Something isn't adding up from a math perspective.

You realize that a candidate could just opt not to run in New Jersey. That would interesting. It's not like the state is going to go red.

Yes, but you cannot dispute the point that the Democrats have lost nearly all power at the national level. There is nearly zero chance of retaking it in 2018. It's going to be a fun four years. Good luck in 2020.

NOBODY will vote for candidates they believe despise them, unless they're mentally ill.
There is plenty of snot to go around from both sides. Have you listened to Rush Limbaugh? He used to announce daily (don't know if he still does) "its eleven o'clock, time for welfare recipients to get up." I think much of the perception has been nurtured by the right that has actively cultivated a victim mentality in their followers. Just here, in our little PH world, we are told we hate Christians, and oppress them. Limbaugh, and his ilk, hammer home the idea that liberals hate conservatives, believe people are incapable of managing their own affairs, and need the nanny state to take care of them. How often have you read that stuff right here?

Its liberals are out to get them all the time.

You complained about Obama taking a vacation. Trump spends in a month what Obama spent in a year on vacations, but yet you fools scream "fiscal responsibility".

You're a fucking hypocrite-period. Yeah, I DO get to tell you what to do. You're damn right. When you're that fucking hypocritical, you lost any high ground you might have claimed.

How about the taxpayer pay a reasonable amount to ensure the president and his families security above which he can pay for. This guy is fucking tripling the cost of security with 3 whitehouses.

    This is a serious question.
Serious question, really? How many times in this forum have the liberals painted every conservative as a racist? A bigot? A Nazi? Liberalism is a disease. The Democrats lost the House in what then President Obama referred to as a "shellacking." Why did the Democrats lose the House? Because they shoved a healthcare bill up our asses that no one read and most did not want. We heard the excuses that the House was lost because the Democrats don't turn out in midterm elections and that the districts were gerrymandered to help the GOP, which turned out to be utter bullshit because the districts in 2010 were the same as 2008 and 2006. Why did you all lose in 2016? Because you ran a candidate that had the charisma of a tree. She had a corrupt political machine behind her an no one trusted her.

As you should know by now, 2018 sure doesn't look good for the Democrats, your real hope has to be hung on wishing President Trump and the Republicans fail miserably over the next four years. Of course, that isn't good for the country.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to say it- you were STUPID for voting for Trump. Outright STUPID. Now if you don't want to be called stupid, I'll say what I've said to other Trump voters- QUIT BEING STUPID. How you voted made absolutely no sense to any rational person. And now look what we have. I hope you're happy. You fucked the very people who were fixing things, including yourself. And you blame everyone but yourself.
    Did @Madeline vote for trump?

    I don't think so.

I would really like to discuss this issue without flinging insults - not easy when the topic is insults.
    Thanks from Madeline
