Comey at 12:53 EST:
"no successful effort to affect the vote"
Once again confirming my OP.
Rent the old Bogart "The Caine Mutiny."
Fred MacMurray as "Lieutenant Tom Keefer". At the end, at the trial, despite the fact that Keefer was the one who pushed "Maryk" and the others to mutiny against "Queeq"?
to cover his ass, on the stand, he downplayed even denied what he had done.
At the final scene, Jose Ferrer calls him out over it, says "Keefer denied even KNOWING Captain Queeq", throws a drink in his face, and says "I'll be outside if you want to do something about it....I'm pretty drunk, so it'll be a fair fight."
And MacMurray's character just stands there while the rest of the officers look at him in disgust.
Mike Turner is asking questions. The scroll identifies him as Brad Wenstrup, who ever that is.
Watching the testimony now.
Mostly seeing grandstanding and "reading" prepared statements by Congress folks. Occasionally a question to the two vistors.
