That's true. Bernie is shooting himself in the foot each time he relies on his supporters and claims he is a Democrat.

he'd have more of my respect if he admitted his part in Hillary losing. As far as I know, he hasn't even acknowledged that a lot of Dems feel that way. Or even said we'd be better off if she had won. And his supporters....yeeeesh. They actually make me more pissed off at him.

That's BS and you well know it, Amelia! The only reason he didn't run as an Independent is because he knew he would be defeated quicker and wouldn't get the chance to put Trump in the White House over Hillary. The election was just too important and he should have realized that and stepped aside and instead should have campaigned for Hillary full time.

He made a valiant primary effort, and then as promised, he supported Hillary in the general. Running as a third party candidate WOULD be an effort to take away left-leaning votes from the Democratic nominee, but he didn't do that.
Continue to defend the indefensible. His goal was to become King of the Hill all along and bring down Hillary.

    He kept his promise.
He sure did and he succeeded. And that promise was to Bring Hillary Down.

Hillary didn't care enough to campaign for herself in Wisconsin during the general. Talk about idle. She was too busy rubbing elbows with celebrities. Bernie campaigned for her here when she couldn't be bothered.
When polls showed her doing quite well there she obviously needed to be in other less assuring states. After all, she also had many other states in which to campaign.

    Hillary lost Wisconsin.
Not so much for a Hillary loss as for the people of Wisconsin that are now regretting that they did not vote for her and have to pay a much much higher price under Trump!

But keep trying to show how it's Bernie's fault that Democrats lost so many seats for the last 7 years, and couldn't even win the Senate in 2016.
And don't you ever stop to think that Bernie realizing that there might be a problem there should have immediately stepped up and said enough for being an Independent, I'm going to become a full-fledged Democrat and help the Democrats WIN! Only he didn't. So much for him caring about the Democrats. He can cry crocodile tears now for Democrats but it's too little too late.

Hillary was SO terrible that she lost to Trump.
Hillary was stellar in her campaign! Only you're too naive to know and realize that. Both Sanders and Comey contributed to her loss.

    It shouldn't have been close.
At that point where Sanders realized that Democrats were having a problem he should have immediately taken to the airwaves Full-Time to announce that he was going to suspend his campaign to Help Hillary Win since in all his wisdom he should have surely realized that she was going to emerge as the Democratic nominee.

Democrats should have won the Senate.
We can't cry over spilled milk. But we stand a GREAT chance next time around with the way Trump is handing the Senate over to us by the type of things he is doing!

But they screwed up so bad.
With a lot of help from Bernie.

And somehow this is Bernie's fault that people didn't trust Democrats to lead them into the next four years.
Exactly my point! Had he really had his heart in Democrats winning he would have done MORE. Much, much MORE! Instead, he helped Trump to win. That's something that has gone down in history and will be forever remembered.

Over and over Democrats keep showing that they just don't get it. They don't get why they lost so many seats in the last 7 years. They don't get why their party is shrinking. They don't get how badly they have lost touch with the rest of the nation.

Well, I have a fever. I don't need to have a heart attack too. I'm dropping out of this thread.
About time you did and took care of your own needs instead of continuously poking your nose into things of a party that is not your own.

This has always been the problem with Democrats. Republicans March to the same drummer, we don't. Put two Democrats in a room and you will come out with three different opinions
