Freedom Caucus chairman shrugs off Trump warning on 2018 | TheHill

See, this is the problem when YOUR OWN PARTY knows you are a pathological liar whose approval polls are in the toilet...

Trump can't get REPBULICANS to "respect" him....or "fear" him....or even believe him.

So his "threats" are easily laughed off.

The idiot does not have sense enough to know those guys play Political hardball. Trump does not vote for them. He is quite right.

Threats mean nothing . Trump does not get to say," You are fired!"

The basics of the politics are simple.....a House Repub must weigh two competing paradigms for his/her re-election-

    1. Trump's popularity will help the Repub win re-election, even if they vote FOR a R&R bill that is "Obamacare-Lite" and would anger the Ideologues on the Right.

or 2. Voting against the bill will draw support from the Ideological Right, which will mitigate voting against Trump and any "backlash" from Trump supporters in their district.

If Trump were credible and popular?....they'd go with #1.

Since he is neither?....why not go for #2 and stick with your Ideologues over the Trump Cult?

I think they are kinder....they know that Hillary won the popular vote so they see that MOST Americans didn't support the Orange Man-Baby.

Further confirmed by Trump's lousy job approval polls.

"I certainly think that the president is the best guy to bring this home and close this deal out. Hopefully, we'll be able to do that, but if everyone's entrenched at this particular point it's going to be a very difficult 48 hours."
