They would have done to him what they did to Hillary. I like him a lot but I don't think he gets it.

I would say "he's too old" and curse that he missed his chance. But if he's running against Trump, then his age shouldn't matter. Would sure hate Trump to use the "experience" card against some young person and pull out a win on those grounds. Not that he _should_ be able to pull out a win in any circumstance, but I watch Scott Walker kick off his new campaign here and I remain depressed about the chance that Wisconsin could vote for these horrible people again. Democrats gotta get their rears in gear and find an electoral path back to the White House.
    Thanks from bajisima

I think 2020 could be very positive for democrats. But if for whatever reason, Trump is gone and doesnt run, then its unpredictable. If a Jeff Flake or Kasich wins the nomination they are going to be hard to run against since they stood against Trump. Democrats need to then go back to policy and find someone that can appeal in Wisconsin and Ohio. Biden could but against a Flake he will look really old. Other names I hear bantered about, Cuomo, Gillibrand, Harris, Warren, Booker etc are all coastal dems. I am not sure they would do as well.

Feels kinda crazy that I've come to like Biden.

But I wouldn't have been alone in that in 2016.

    He would have won.

As far as 2020 ... yeah, Dems do have a pretty good bench waiting in the wings in spite of their lack of investment in this. Looking forward to hearing from them.
