Trump: Mexico will 'eventually' pay for border wall

Okay, let me get this straight.

Trump wants funding for the wall in exchange for keeping the government from shutting down and not taking away money from poor and middle class folks paying for their own health care, even though he said Mexico would pay for the wall.

This wall will stop drugs and very bad MS13 members, presumably kinda bad ones can still cross, from coming into the country and it's the fault of Democrats.

Does that accurately represent the intellectual diarrhea the president has put forth on this issue?

President Trump on Sunday said Mexico will eventually pay for his proposed border wall, as Democrats and Republicans prepare for budget negotiations this week.
“The Democrats don't want money from budget going to border wall despite the fact that it will stop drugs and very bad MS 13 gang members,” Trump wrote on Twitter.
“Eventually, but at a later date so we can get started early, Mexico will be paying, in some form, for the badly needed border wall.”

Trump promised during the campaign to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and have Mexico pay for it. But once in office, the president said it was more likely that Mexico would reimburse the U.S. for the wall so construction could begin sooner.
Funding for the border wall, which Democrats opposed, is at the heart of the current budget debate. Lawmakers must pass legislation this week to fund the government in order to avoid a shutdown.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly both pushed funding for the border wall during their appearances earlier on the Sunday shows.
Sessions said that the wall will be “paid for one way or another.”
"I can't imagine the Democrats would shut down the government over an objection to building a down payment on a wall that can end the lawlessness," he said.

The party that instigates the incident is always the party that gets the blame....and so far, every government shut down in history has been instigated by Republicans, just like the one coming up....

Hold him to it --- this was his biggest campaign promise.

No budget for the wall until he presents a plan to equitably get payment from Mexico.

He's not treating it as a joke. That means he's got a plan. Let him present it. Or show him to be a pathetically stupid liar... one of the two...

Tell him his plan will be entertained as soon as we see his tax returns.

Nah don't conflate two separate issues. He pledged every day to his voters that Mexico would pay for the wall. He's had 100 days to come up with a plan to get that done. He doesn't get funding for the wall until he shares his plan --- it's that simple.

Both are promises he made..he should prove he is capable of keeping one before he is allowed to go forward and be entertained with the other..especially since one promise is far more real to acheive and less costly to attain than the other.
