Victory Belongs to Jesus': Christian Student Gets a Win in LGBT Case

The London High Court ruled in favor of a Christian student who was expelled from his university for calling homosexuality a sin in a private Facebook post.

Felix Ngole, 39, was kicked out of Sheffield University last year after expressing support for traditional marriage on his own personal Facebook page. The university called him "unfit to practice" in his profession after he said, "the Bible and God identify homosexuality as a sin."

The father of four from Cameroon did not go down without a fight and sued the university. Ngole argued he was unfairly stopped from completing his degree plan. His case was rejected repeatedly by lower courts until the high court finally ruled in his favor.

"Students with orthodox Christian views are being told that they aren't fit to practice," says Chief Executive Andrea Minichiello Williams from the Christian Legal Centre which represented Ngole during his case. "For religious people who believe now what most people used to believe, it can be a bar to office."http://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/cwn/2017/april/victory-is-the-lords-christian-student-wins-big-in-lawsuit-what-he-did-to-get-expelled

This happened in England and the court sided with the student and they were right. A person studying Social Work should not be denied a career because of their religion. This has happened in America before and its not right to discriminate towards a person because of their religious beliefs. Good to hear something finally standing up for religion.

Its funny how the left hate discrimination unless it's directed towards Christians, then it's acceptable but this court said no so good job to them.

It is in the UK, but maybe America will listen to this ruling and stop discriminating towards Christians

The U.S. is not discriminating against Xians. As you point out, a substantial majority of Americans are Xians - irrespective of political ideology (i.e., more than a few are liberal). If your position was correct, then Xians are discriminating against Xians.

The UK has anti-Muslim laws ...as does most of the EU. If you don't protect all religions, any religion is unsafe.

In the US, under the US Constitution, all gods are equal.

Courts (Secular Federal institutions) are not religious by your own statements. The are ruling against religious rights because its not popular like LGTB rights

You are correct on both counts. It is less popular to discriminate against homosexuals these days and it is less popular to allow for the claim of religion rights to discriminate against anyone these days.

@aboutenough - Do you honestly think that a day goes by in which hundreds - if not thousands of U.S. college students don't use Facebook (or other social media) to condemn homosexuality? It happens all the time. It probably happened several times in the seconds it took me to write this post. Contrary to your tinfoil-tinted view of the world, these U.S. students are not in danger of being expelled.
