Trump must be impeached. Here’s why.

    just a snip.

Now the country is faced with a president whose conduct strongly suggests that he poses a danger to our system of government.

Ample reasons existed to worry about this president, and to ponder the extraordinary remedy of impeachment, even before he fired FBI Director James B. Comey and shockingly admitted on national television that the action was provoked by the FBI’s intensifying investigation into his campaign’s ties with Russia.

Even without getting to the bottom of what Trump dismissed as “this Russia thing,” impeachable offenses could theoretically have been charged from the outset of this presidency. One important example is Trump’s brazen defiance of the foreign emoluments clause, which is designed to prevent foreign powers from pressuring U.S. officials to stray from undivided loyalty to the United States. Political reality made impeachment and removal on that and other grounds seem premature.

No longer. To wait for the results of the multiple investigations underway is to risk tying our nation’s fate to the whims of an authoritarian leader.

Comey’s summary firing will not stop the inquiry, yet it represented an obvious effort to interfere with a probe involving national security matters vastly more serious than the “third-rate burglary” that Nixon tried to cover up in Watergate. The question of Russian interference in the presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign go to the heart of our system and ability to conduct free and fair elections.

before anyone responds I'd like to make a modest request.

Imagine if you can if Trump's last name was Clinton.

I pose this question and request an honest answer.

If Hillary Clinton had asked Comey to stay on. Then waited until after an investigation into her administration was just starting to get going to fire him, what would your reaction be?

Safe to say that even most HRC fans would want to get to the bottom of it.

    It's time.

It's long past time this be said.

Trump supporters make other American's sick

Everything...everything they don't agree with they label as "fake news". They seems to have more of a problem with people criticizing Trump than they do with the possibly that Russia interfered with our election. In fact, they appear to have more of an affinity with Russia than their own fellow American's. Especially if those American's happen to be liberals.

That was all well and good before now.

But now, our president has gone on television and admitted to what could well be obstruction of justice. Something that no American should condone. Yet, Trump supporters , once again, call it "fake news". Even though, it came from Trump's own mouth. Trump boldly proclaimed ,right to your face, that he fired Comey to shut down the investigation into his administration. He told the world that.

Now the world is looking at America to be the shining example on the hill we profess to be. Yet, we have cowardly traitors in Congress instead. Who refuse to put country before party. Who wouldn't be acting that way if they didn't know that low information voters just don't care. As long as their party is in control in DC. It's a crying shame how far the part of Lincoln and Reagan has fallen.

I don't think it's a stretch to say if Clinton had done half the things BLOTUS has done - screams for either impeachment or lots and lots of hearings would be taking place right now.

It's shame that there are only a few people in the GOP value country over party. Let's hope the D's can talk back the house in 2018 so at least one body of goverment can start holding him accountable.

The following is only one of many such articles and reports that agree with the OP.

Republicans: You must impeach President Trump
    By Ryan Cooper

"Donald Trump has only been president for two weeks. In that time, he has created untold chaos with hyper-aggressive use of executive authority, and seriously destabilized relations with several nations, including at least one very close ally, Australia. He's unstable, incompetent, and a clear and present danger to the security of the United States and the world."
"Donald Trump must be impeached and removed from office. Not because his policy is bad, though that is very true, but because he is so erratic and unstable as to be a threat to all life on Earth. And it will be up to Congressional Republicans to do it."

Trump is insulting the intelligence, of not just his Trump voters but now he is trying that shit with the rest of us. It's not gonna work. Trump will be gone and I still say by Jan 20, 2018. I could be wrong about the date but he certainly won't be able to hold on to his Presidency to the end of his term.

You are very correct in that! With all that has been happening, what you say may very well come to fruition!

of course they would have. The last president with the last name of Clinton got impeached for a hell of a lot less. Clearly, the GOP thought they'd finally found someone that could compare to Nixon. But, those darn Clinton's just wouldn't stay down. Imagine the frustration of it all. They took down Hillary. Took decades for them to do it. But finally they did. But then imagine the frustration of it all being stuck with a president like Trump? Decades of trying to get out from under the shadow of Nixon. Only to emerge with a president that makes Nixon look like a boy scout on his worse day.

See but, Ryan and McConnell aren't true leaders. They are both cowards. Too afraid to do what they know in their hearts needs to be done.

    Impeach Trump.

    Impeach him now.

That's the only way to savage the remnants of the pathetic Republican party they helped to create.

Impeachment of a President is sort of a big thing.

How about we wait for Trump to do something that actually qualifies for the action?

The event could certainly occur.....but we are still a little early.
