    No. It's about trying to regulate a person's speech. It has nothing really to do with religion because the broader law protecting speech applies.

    Indeed, the flag salute case was determined on free speech grounds, not free exercise grounds, even though the latter was the motivation for the refusal to speak.

    No one has to. It's all protected. Everything. Heck, the first amendment makes it legal to lie in many cases.

    Speech is free except in very narrowly defined circumstances. Full stop.
