Or....you can safely obey lawful commands issued by officers society has charged with enforcing its laws, and challenge any unwarranted affront later in the appropriate and much less volatile and dangerous part of the Justice System.

But that's not what typically happens in these cases, is it?

No, not at all...the 'affront' is almost always warranted, and the affronted, who, again, were apparently not taught by their parent(s) to think long and hard before challenging or arguing too much with people who carry guns on their hips for a living, ignorantly believe they are lawfully entitled to a choice in the matter.

That was a particularly horrible shooting. The idea that you can have car trouble and try to get help and the help you get kills you is a nightmare. My sympathy goes out to his family.

It was a bizarre set of behavior and circumstances that led up to the shooting. The jury had the challenge of seeing it transpire through the eyes of the policewoman. Personally suspected that she would be found guilty of "something". But we didn't have the luxury of hearing all the testimony the jury did.
Yep, and the jury never got to hear from the victim, she made sure of that.

It's just another dead black person. No big deal to most conservatives.

    That's right.

You also don't shoot someone for walking away. US police are among the worst on Earth, on par with 3rd world countries. I thank God every day I am in Canada.

Failure to do so, however, is not a death penalty offense, much less one that can be meted out by an officer on the scene without due process and the like.

Actually, it seems that is exactly what it is.
