Then what did happen to it if it did not break down?

WTF are you talking about? I've looked this up and every report I can find says the car stalled. Did you get it from Breitbart or something?

Crump — a civil rights lawyer who has represented many families of those killed in high-profile police shootings — said Crutcher never reached his hands into the driver’s side window of his stalled sport-utility vehicle before he was shot by police.

    He was high on PCP.

Who knows what he "thought" was happening.

Your car breaking down does not put you in the same category as a killer or bank robber yet we see those situations where there appears to be absolutely no self control due to fear on the cops part. If a cop with the guns can't control their own actions you can't expect the person whose car breaks down to be perfectly calm.

Better training is the answer. There are far too many good cops to support actions with this outcome after someone's car breaks down.
Better training for ALL. As I said, my parents taught (trained) me how to behave around people who carry guns on their hips for a living.

If parents aren't doing it, then maybe society should adopt the PSA approach, like with the "click it or ticket" or "buzzed driving is drunk driving" campaigns.

Maybe something like: "They're as scared of you as you are of them, but they have guns. Comply with their orders and no one gets hurt"

Bad parenting, a taught/learned response to authority figures, bravado inspired stupidity, or something, but it's certainly not reasonable or intelligent to think you have some right to ignore lawful commands being barked by someone who wears a gun on their hip for a living.
    JFC..
Will you STOP mostly blaming his parents? You have no fucking clue that they DIDN'T teach him that. Y'all already said he was high on something. Let me guess....that's their fault, too?

Did the cop know that in that moment?

Yes, there were "reports" of a stalled SUV.

Later it was discovered there was nothing wrong with the vehicle.

It could have been "stalled" because he stalled it.

So, you don't know if it was really stalled? Great.
