It was the NYPD who said THEY first thought terrorist attack.

THEIR words, I just repeated them.

Times Square is probably the number one soft terror target in America.

    Agree.

And it was the NYPD that first thought it might be terrorism.

I'm glad it just turned out to be a thug.

    A drunk thug.

    Who's in custody, hopefully forever.

My 35 year old former electrician is about 5 years dead now from DUI crashing his Harley into a tree. He was point two seven. He joined his brother in death...who DUI homicided an innocent mother and her 11 year old daughter, then ate a shotgun shell out of remorse.

    on and on and on....

    and on.

As a former drunk and drug addict who rarely shied away from driving impaired, I fucking cringe....have no idea how I managed to avoid visiting the carnage and horror on some innocent family... or myself and my family.

be careful out there, kiddies. please.
So true, I had three DUI's and greatly deserved at least 1,000.
Only by the grace of God did I not injure or kill myself or an innocent person(s).

Show me in the OP's linked article where the NYPD stated that "they first thought it might be terrorism."

I was pulled over at least a half dozen times while pretty deep in my cups...in vehicles twice -- burned out brake light, no tag lights -- and the rest on a motorcycle -- loud pipes, tail light, brake light -- but miraculously never got a DUI....always seemed to be able to pass the sobriety test or charm my way out of it....too, DUI wasn't taken near as seriously in the '80s and early '90s (when the stops occurred) as it is now, and I'd pretty much confined my drinking and drugging to the house the 4 or 5 years before I put it all away in 2007.

So glad I never have to worry about that shit again!

Yeah, as am I. I think my last DUI was in 1983 or 1984. I've been clean and sober since 11/17/85.
