It was just some dust and weed. We all know drug use is a victimless crime.

My 35 year old former electrician is about 5 years dead now from DUI crashing his Harley into a tree. He was point two seven. He joined his brother in death...who DUI homicided an innocent mother and her 11 year old daughter, then ate a shotgun shell out of remorse.

    on and on and on....

    and on.

As a former drunk and drug addict who rarely shied away from driving impaired, I fucking cringe....have no idea how I managed to avoid visiting the carnage and horror on some innocent family... or myself and my family.

be careful out there, kiddies. please.
    Wow, hugs.

Seriously, no thoughts about this drunk driver being former military with psychological issues?

Are you instinctively transferring responsibility from him to something else? If all of our bad choices can be blamed on something or someone else, what do we have?

That many DUI's in that sort a period of time?
Well, OF COURSE he has psych issues, he's almost certainly an alcoholic.
Hopefully he can get AA meetings and/or psych help in prison and come out of prison eventually clean and sober.

God told him to drive a car into people.

Wait. Did he say it was God? Or Allah?

    He said God?

    Whew... not terrorism.

So only HE is responsible. Not other Total strangers of his same religion.

Glad it was only one person.

If hed ssid "Allah" then a billion people would also be completely responsible.

    That was close.

That god who resides at the bottom of a bottle...that gives us the "intelligence" to rationalize literally anything.

You, a cop, know this all too well...Canada's, as well as America's jails and prisons are overflowing with people who rationalized their behavior while in deep conversation with that god in the bottle
    Thanks from Dr.Knuckles and Hollywood

I suspect it wasn't God as much as a collection of PTSD, guilt, shame, self-loathing, fueled by a steady diet of drugs and alcohol.

But I could be wrong. God knows.
