Yea I thought that was required? I guess not. Seems quite a few are ok with it because he is "independent."

None, but hey, it's Trump, so why would background matter?

He is a lawyer and served as state Attorney General from 1983 to 1989. Personally I don't think he is a good pick because he comes from the Politics side instead of the Law Enforcement side of things. I think they would be better off getting a currently serving or recently retired AG with up to date legal knowledge. Lieberman spent to much time in the Senate to not act political even though he was for the most part an independent Senator 1989 to 2013.. He ran as Gore's Vice President(D) but in 2008 he endorsed John McCain for President (R).

Note, I stand duly corrected on my previous assertion he had no law enforcement background.

Hell no. He works for the law firm that has represented BLOTUS many times.

Joe Lieberman, Being Considered for FBI Director, is from Trump?s Go-To Law Firm
