Obama must love them too since he released that traitor Manning.
How do you explain that? Apparently WikiLeaks is awful when they reveal Democratic party corruption, but it's no big deal when they endanger lives and US national security.

Assange is a flunky for Russia. Since you obviously don't keep up with current events very well, Assange still runs WikiLeaks from the embassy. He does the bidding of Vladimir Putin. By supporting him, you are supporting Putin. Own it.
If Assange is anything, he is the John Brown of our times.

Trump probably won't do much about them either.
    What was the treason?

The first amendment does not apply worldwide, and Wilileaks was not published in the US.

OTOH, the laws allowing the government to make some reports, etc., classified and control their distribution was never intended to be used to make evidence of war crimes completely, permanently inaccessible. That illicit classified designation was a crime, as to the material Manning gave Assange, IMO.

The only crime committed in the entire stupid and nasty episode.

Freedom of speech is central in the UDHR, which was very much based on the U.S. Constitution. In effect, the first amendment does indeed apply worldwide, just under a wider juristiction.

Indiscriminately handing over hundreds of thousands of pages of classified data to someone for them to publicize is treason. That aided enemies of the nation. For example, the names of Afghan informants were revealed in that info dump. You think the Taliban didn't put that info to use?

Got any sources on them actually using that info?

It doesn't actually matter. Thanks to Manning they had the chance. The act of turning over classified data to a foreign agent to publicize is treason. Manning couldn't have possibly known what was in that data nor did he care. He just turned it over to a Putin flunky.
