Dwayne Johnson is openly entertaining a presidential run

I don't think we really need a source here, it's all over the place.

Would you vote for The Rock?

He'd suit a clear Democratic need for fresh leadership that is still well-known. That's for sure.

    Depends on what year....
The question is whether he is a Republican or a Democrat. And his lack of political experience makes him somewhat less than qualified.

I'm thinking he's suite the democratic need for a good lookin' candidate to fire up the democratic base.

Democrats are openly recruiting young, even Vets to run and they are signing up like crazy.

Oh come on. There's no question, he's a Democrat. He is known to have a warm relationship with Obama, and they have a whole lot in common beyond the obvious (mixed ethnicity). I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Obama prodded him to not be shy about these things.

For myself, he does need to talk policy more and show a grasp of the issues before I would consider it. But it would be funny to watch Republicans go "Oh lord, another celebrity leading Democrats." And they would do it too, even with Trump on the ballot (though maybe that won't happen...)

I just moved around a big room of heavy furniture. Think I should run?

That is how ridiculous Politics has become.

He is actually registered Republican. But he's not a Hollywood political nitwit. He realizes that both Democrats and Republicans pay to see movies so he doesn't go out of his way to piss off either.
The guy is universally beloved. If he runs for office then he gives that up.

I wouldn't vote for him in a primary. Nothing against the guy, but we all know what happens when we put someone with no political experience in the White House.
    Thanks from MaryAnne
