Trump “voter fraud” commission seeking voter data from all states

    Hilarious.

After Trump's claim that 5,000,000 million or so illegal votes all went to Hillary, his faux commission on nonexistent voter fraud now wants voter roles and party affiliations.

Why? Who knows. Parse the data and try to see if they can interpret in a way that supports Trump's delusions?

So get ready to have your name and party int he hands of such fine folks as those that woudl take jobs with the administration investigating made up shit spawned in the incapable mind of the president, all because Lord Fuckpants lost the popular vote.

Trump ?voter fraud? commission seeking voter data from all states - CBS News

President Trump's commission investigating alleged voter fraud in the 2016 elections has asked states for a list of the names, party affiliations, addresses and voting histories of all voters, if state laws allow it to be public.

A Wednesday letter from the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity gives secretaries of state about two weeks to provide about a dozen points of voter data. That also would include dates of birth, the last four digits of voters' Social Security numbers and any information about felony convictions and military status.

Some Democratic officials refused to comply, saying the request invades privacy and is based on false claims of fraud.

Mr. Trump lost the popular vote to Democrat Hillary Clinton but has alleged, without evidence, that 3 to 5 million people voted illegally.

In addition to the voter information, the letter asks state officials for suggestions on improving election integrity and to share any evidence of fraud and election-related crimes in their states.

The data will help the commission "fully analyze vulnerabilities and issues related to voter registration and voting," vice chairman and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach wrote.

On Thursday, Virginia's governor and the secretaries of state in California and Kentucky, all Democrats, said they will not share the requested information.

The California and Virginia officials said attention would be better spent upgrading aging voting systems or focusing on Russia's alleged election meddling. Mr. Trump has alleged "serious voter fraud" in both states.

"California's participation would only serve to legitimize the false and already debunked claims of massive voter fraud," Democratic Secretary of State Alex Padilla said in a statement.
Clinton won California by about 3 million votes.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe said there is no evidence of voter fraud in the state.

"At best this commission was set up as a pretext to validate Donald Mr. Trump's alternative election facts, and at worst is a tool to commit large-scale voter suppression," he said in a statement.
Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes expressed similar sentiments, reports CBS Lexington affiliate WKYT-TV. A statement released by her office said in part, ""The president created his election commission based on the false notion that "voter fraud" is a widespread issue – it is not.

Indeed, despite bipartisan objections and a lack of authority, the President has repeatedly spread the lie that three to five million illegal votes were cast in the last election. Kentucky will not aid a commission that is at best a waste of taxpayer money and at worst an attempt to legitimize voter suppression efforts across the country."

Mr. Trump created the commission through an executive order in May.

Isn't this exactly what Trump supporters claim the Special Prosecutor is doing...searching for a crime?

The worst part is that Trump's fishing expedition come off his delusional lies.

Remember the time and money spent on other Trump lies

    "Obama bugged Trump Tower"

    "I got tapes"

Civil rights advocates are concerned this will cause voter rolls to be purged. This could actually be worse than people think.

"Voting and civil rights advocates are ringing alarm bells on Thursday after it was learned that an election commission established by Donald Trump—one which critics feared from its inception would be used to suppress, not protect, voter access—had sent requests to all fifty states demanding personal and detailed information about voters. According to The Hill, a letter was sent from Kris Kobach, the Secretary of State in Kansas and vice chairman of Trump's Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, asking the states for "several pieces of information about voters, including their names, birthdays, the last four digits of their Social Security numbers and their voting history dating back to 2006."

What about the fact that the 2 reported cases of voter fraud were Trump supporters?

In TrumpWorld, citizens will have to prove they're "poorly educated"
to be able to maintain their voter registration.

There has been only one nationwide study of Voter Fraud... and that study has shown that as many as 5,700,000 illegal immigrants committed the Felony of Voter Fraud.

that means that 1 in every 2 (since there are ~12,000,000 total in the US) are felons.

But that is not real. That is a delusion.
