I hope like hell those very unhappy passengers sitting next to her--legally for the woman given the extra seat, and whose picture was taken and TWITTERED out to world--I will assume without her permission--SUES.

Coulter acted like an entitled VIP. Buy a fucking 1st class seat. Case closed.
    What?

She didn't want a first class seat. She didn't need a first class seat. She had no desire for a first class seat.

She wanted two regular seats. So she bought two regular seats. And PAID for two regular seats. And they took her money and said "you now have two regular seats"

Why do you say she should buy something she didn't want? They charged her, they took her money, they decided not to give the product.

    That's fraud.
    Thanks from Chief and Jets

Airlines are out of control. This reminds me of United, who did something a bit worse, imo.

Have I missed something important? Where does it say she bought two seats? I understand she paid for a single seat in an aisle which had a little extra leg room, and she ended up in another seat which had the same leg room, but by a window, and she was refunded the difference - even though she got the extra leg room. Is that not the case? I agree that it was unsatisfactory service in principle (but did not materially inconvenience her) - hence the refund. And whilst it was discourteous of the airline not to ask her permission; I am not sure there was anything fraudulent about it.

It appears her new seat was in the same row, just not the exact seat she had selected,” a Delta spokesman wrote to The Washington Post.

“It was an exit row seat (has extra leg room),” he wrote. “She was moved from an aisle to a window. Same space, a few seats over.”

Regardless, the spokesman said the airline would reach out to Coulter about her concerns on the New York-to-Florida flight.

A Delta spokesman told the Associated Press that the airline was reaching out to Coulter.

The airline issued a statement in response to “Coulter’s insults” late Sunday. It also posted two messages for Coulter on Twitter. One said: “We’re sorry you did not receive the preferred seat you paid for and will refund you $30.”

They likely weighed her $30 'UPGRADE' to the other passengers whatever price seat.

PS The airlines have actually come up with a new program they are trying out for overbooking issues (well in advance?). Seems like they would have 50 of those on the shelf, but I just heard something about this one the other day.

Apparently a whole bunch of people joined in. It's funny as hell. Read the long twitter chain. I'm only posting a portion....

That's the biggie. I have no idea how that ball got rolling--but it has been at least a couple of decades of them 'entitled' to do. I think its just a matter of more people travelling and less people cancelling and maximization of seats. The first commandment of airlines. No seat shall leave empty. And that's after they've maximized square inches on a plane. Talk about Spam in a can!

Back when nearly everyone else on the planet seemed outraged at United Airlines over the violent de-seating of a paying passenger, Ann Coulter, as she so often does, shared her own unique take. “Sorry about the dragging,” she wrote in April. “But convicted pill-mill doctor should be deported.” The bloodied passenger had a criminal history and immigrated from Vietnam, you see.

But so much for Coulter’s nuanced take on air travel. On Saturday, she declared “the worst airline in America” to be not United, but Delta Air Lines — which allegedly committed the offense of de-seating Ann Coulter.

Coulter didn’t just slam Delta for moving her from her “PRE-BOOKED seat” with extra leg room (to another seat in the same row, according to the airline). She also documented the experience in photos and tweet after tweet, which she shared with her 1.6 million followers, not to mention the wider spectrum of people fascinated by things Ann Coulter does.

Coulter didn’t immediately reply to questions, including why she decided to photograph and publicize her co-flyer’s faces. “It appears her new seat was in the same row, just not the exact seat she had selected,” a Delta spokesman wrote to The Washington Post. “It was an exit row seat (has extra leg room),” he wrote. “She was moved from an aisle to a window. Poor Ann, maybe thought the publicity would be good for her. Instead she is being mocked all over Twitter.
She can go on FIX and bitch and complain about how she has been vilified.
