Well she does have supporters who want her to run again like Reagan did. But as to the election it all depends on the status of the EC, will those voters in WI, PA and MI remain red voters? Nate Silver said yes because the youth have left those areas and they are older and whiter. It also depends on whether the exit polling after 2016 is long term. People in these areas said immigration, trade, terrorism, guns and faith were tops of their lists as to why they voted Trump. If that remains then its likely they could vote GOP again. Dems would need a moderate youthful candidate like a Bill Clinton or Obama to turn the tide. But would the progressives agree? Its really anybodys guess. We don't know who will even run again. I just hope it isn't Clinton and Trump again.

    What a horrifying proposition.

That would be a disaster, no doubt.

Maybe, but other research tends to suggest Trump's win had little to do with policy at all. It was about tribalism and emotional resentment. I don't think most people voting for Trump were making thoroughly rational choices.

Or maybe just an agenda they can articulate in a powerful and specific way.

The Dems need to have a fight over this, no doubt.

It's highly unlikely that any sitting president will get a primary challenge within his own party. The last time that happened, it was Ted Kennedy v Jimmy Carter. And Carter lost. In fact, if a serious challenge to the sitting president from within the party happens, it's pretty much a lock that sitting president will lose. Johnson didn't even bother to run. Ford lost.

I would argue any look at 2020 is premature. The landscape will be transformed two or maybe three times before the summer of 2019.

A New Low for Trump, brought to you by the same morons who repeatedly said, "no path to victory."

If I were a No Trumper, I'd be pissed beyond belief to be lied to so much.

Actually, the people conducting the poll are contracted by ABC and WashPo. The raw data can be the subject of interpretations like the one you site, but it isn't a prediction.

And what they said was, his path was very narrow. And it was.
