SC VOTER REGISTRATION system hit with 150,000 hacking attempts on nov 8, 2016

It's SC. It's not CA, its not FLA, it's not NY. Think about it. If they hit SC, where else did they try to hit? NO 'evidence' yet they were successful!! I'll say what I've said about 40 times on this board. Who is conducting 'forensic analysis' of voting systems--is anyone? Looks like at least 1 did. Who ordered it? If WHOEVER/WHATEVER wasn't successful after the first 100 or 500 or 1,000 or 3,000 or 5000 times, why did they keep going back and back and back 145,000 times more? Explain that to me.

Let's hope like hell some OFFICIALS IN SOME STATES want to know the truth and are digging and if a SC won't I'm hoping the press can file FOI and go investigate the equipment with a team of analysts. How many voters were turned away, at what precincts, how many of them had registrations that weren't there? WHERE did this happen?

I'll go one further, why is SC putting this out now?? Is it a clarion call to other states? Interesting timing, don't you think?

Stay tuned, I don't think this story is over with.

South Carolina’s voter registration system was hit by 150,000 hack attempts on Election Day: report

DON'T MISS STORIES. FOLLOW RAW STORY!

Hackers made nearly 150,000 attempts to break into South Carolina’s voter registration system on Election Day 2016, according to a report from that state’s election commission.

The Hill said Sunday that there is no evidence so far that the attempts were successful.

President Donald Trump won the state of South Carolina by large margins and the election commission said that the hacking attempts were probably the work of pre-programmed bots.

The report was released, however, into a politically charged atmosphere in which the Trump campaign is being questioned about possible digital coordination with Russian propaganda efforts and top campaign officials are under fire for meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer in an effort to get illicitly obtained information about Hillary Clinton.

Russian hackers are believed to be involved in attacks on the election systems of 39 of the 50 states. Many states are using voting systems that are antiquated and therefore vulnerable to manipulation.

Some states like Georgia have gaping security holes in their electoral software and hardware, but officials
are reluctant to address them or allocate funds for their modernization.

Thank Goodness South Carolina isn't run by Democrats, or the hacks would have been successful. since Democrats don't secure their Servers

You just gave the best reason that Trump was the Best Choice for president.

How many of those attempts were successful at changing a single vote? None? I see the outrage from the bed wetting liberals over the fact that Russia may have attempted to hack our elections, what action would satisfy you? Do you want to go to war with Russia over it? Speak up, don't be bashful. Are you willing to go to war with Russia over it? What actions did the president at the time take? None? How odd.

doesn't it seem hard to believe a site could be hacked 150,000 times in one day.

And how do you know it WASN'T actually successful?? 150,000 x in one day? If they were phishing, why hang out all day if they had NO RESULTS?

We were in SC working for Hillary in the primary. Remember the results for Hillary in the primary?

I would agree had SC previously voted differently in years past. But they haven't and are considered a solid red state for many years.
