He's dragging himself down with his obsessions.
I don't think he cares about his popularity as much as convincing people he is right about things like making a new healthcare law that helps Americans. He is focused on keeping his campaign promises and he is sticking to it.

You're right he tweets....and lets us know what he is doing. And when the media repeat what he said...his exact words....the uneducated scream fake news. They don't believe their lying eyes

I agree.....let's hope that happens. But if his sick erratic behavior continues there is no way no matter what but he will be reelected. Let's hope he can be reined in

The economy was stagnant under Obama not one year of GDP of 3% only one other president had that happen

Stop the lies Obama had a bad economy and the slowest economic recovery since the great depression. Not one year of 3% GDP

"You never hear anyone complaining" is hardly the case with Trump.

He has spoken to companies like Apple about making their products in America and cutting tax rates so it makes it worthwhile for them to produce in America https://www.theverge.com/2017/7/25/1...s-donald-trump

He's breaking campaign promises left and right.

The House healthcare bill violated his promise that everyone would be covered and for less money. But he called it wonderful.

Then to the Senate he called the House bill "mean".

Then when the Senate plan was almost as bad as the House's, he called it wonderful.

    He's all over the place.

Repealing Obamacare isn't keeping a promise if what it's replaced with hurts people. He said he wouldn't do that. Specifically he said he wouldn't touch Medicaid (as one example of a promise he'd be violating by signing what Congress has proposed).

Whatever promises he's keeping, it's in name only. He's violating the substance of his promises.

If he needs to convince people he's right about healthcare, then yeah, he's gonna stay frustrated. Which is going to lead to more embarrassing tweets. Which is going to lead to lower poll numbers. As is already happening.

And he cares about that. He cares big time. Bragged that one time that Rasmussen had him at 50% approval, as if that was something to brag about. Now Rasmussen has him at less than 40%. You bet he cares.
