Job creation has been NO faster in 2017 than it was in 2016; a bit slower, in fact, though not likely to any statistically significant difference. We were creating 187,000 jobs a month (on average) in 2016; it has been 184,000 jobs a month in 2017.

    I doubt that Kasich or Rubio would accept the VP position. Both of them probably have their own aspirations for 2020, and both are far more formidable candidates. Pence stumbled into this job because nobody else wanted it, at the time.

    Not only that; I think it is pretty clear that Kasich and Pence have developed a rather strong antipathy for each other. Those two guys do NOT get along.
