I would appreciate it if he could at least wait until Game of Thrones is over to end the world

Just the threat of military action may be enough to help these poor folks.

This seems to be Trumps main strategy which I think is a good one.

Maybe if his predecessors had taken this approach we wouldn't have all these problems today.

And Trump did not create a crisis in Venezuela, they did that themselves, Trump is just choosing to deal with it where others have ignored them.

    Good job by Trump.
    No No and No

He's big mouth is just escalating things.

Well, no, really, winter IS coming. It's already mid-August, pro football has started up, the kids are already back on the college campuses, back-to-school sales just about over, a short autumn to get through, and then winter. By then, Trump could have us in wars in North Korea, Venezuela, Iran, and maybe even France.

    Winter is coming.

Spookycolt will have to wait and see what Trump says about the war. If Trump likes it, it was the greatest military endeavor in human history. If Trump doesn't like it, it's the worst military blunder in human history. Spookycolt never forms an opinion without first checking in with Trump. Sycophants don't form intelligent decisions, they follow the crowd.

I agree. None of them have been worth the price.

World War II was kind of NECESSARY. It was 'the Good War'. Hitler HAD to be stopped, and Imperial Japan as well. You DO understand that, right?

At the point where the Nazis had invaded Poland, you are essentially correct - however had we Brits and you Americans acted like we had a pair of balls in 1918, and told the French to go fornicate themselves over the conditions upon which they insisted in the Treaty of Versailles - the devastation of Germany would not have resulted, and given better circumstances, and the chance of national self-respect - Germany's first democratic government may not have failed. As it was, the punitive reparations demanded by the French (as vengeance for their defeat in the Franco-Prussian War) in conjunction with a world wide depression, made the fall of the Weimar republic inevitable, and created the conditions for a Donald Trump figure in the shape of Herr Hitler to speak that most most nationally dangerous of sentences "I will make (America/Germany) great again!" The less thoughtful and more nationalistic Germans (not unlike their modern day American counterparts,) lapped that up - and we got the 'Thousand Year Reich' (which did not last 11 years) and somewhere between 60 million and 80 million people died.

But it was not 'the good war' - there ain't no such animal!
    Thanks from Babba
