Still here, working on the house, and calming all my friends and relatives from the North East; they are more terrified than I am!

I know, and not a sheet of plywood left on the island.

    Don't worry, I'll be safe!

PACE, the roads up here are clogged with evacuees from your area so if you do decide to leave factor that in. Thus far the Gulf side may only get the outer part of the Hurricane so we will just have the storm surge in the gulf and the tropical rains. Factor all of this in if you decide to leave. As always, you have my phone number and know you can call me or get help if you need it. That applies to anyone in PH living in Florida and in the path. They can PM us for any needs as well.

My advice is that you get out but I know that you won't hear me. lol I'll settle for just keeping me posted as I will be watching for you as long as we have power. My phone won't work without power so I'll PM you my cell phone.
Thanks from Panzareta, Tedminator and Friday13

My Son and his family went on vacation to Clearwater. The beach was gone.I saw the same in Daytona. Then the next year saw the damage on PR of that storm.

Yes surges are terrible. We'll get flooding in many places but where I am we are out of the flood zone. We are however handling it as if a flood potential is covered. We are moving the emergency stuff upstairs. My thoughts are with those on the Atlantic side and the keys.
Thanks from PACE, Friday13 and MaryAnne
